Camp Footprint is a free of charge, interactive, and inclusive environmental education summer camp for students in 2nd - 5th grade. This year, it will be held June 3rd - 7th and 10th - 14th. Each day is a blend of activities, lessons, and games. In addition, several collaborators will be joining us to provide the campers with the in-depth knowledge and experience that they have gained throughout their careers. It will be fun, but it will also be safe! There are at least two adults present each day, along with at least two high school volunteers. It is based in the youth room at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Del Mar. On some days, we will be visiting local organizations. These are all walking distance from the classroom, so transportation isn't necessary. The camp is 5 days long: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm. At the end of the camp, we will be publishing a book through Kindle, which will be accessible to people across the world. Campers gain valuable insight into ways they can live a more sustainable lifestyle and why that is important as we look toward the future of our planet.
