Camp Footprint is a free of charge, interactive, and inclusive environmental education summer camp for 7-12 year olds. This year, it will be held June 2nd - 6th and 9th - 13th. Each day is a blend of activities, lessons, and games. In addition, several collaborators will be joining us to provide the campers with the in-depth knowledge and experience that they have gained throughout their careers. It will be fun, but it will also be safe! There are at least two adults present each day, along with at least two high school volunteers. It is based in the youth room at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Del Mar. All activities will take place in the youth room or within walking distance, so transportation isn't necessary. The camp is 5 days long: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm. At the end of the camp, we will be publishing a book through Kindle, which will be accessible to people across the world. Campers will learn about a variety of human impacts on the nature and corresponding solutions. It is our hope that students come out of a camp with a more sustainable lifestyle and an understanding for why that is important as we look toward the future of our planet.
