Amaris Iwara: Founder of Camp EntrepreneuHER

Amaris Iwara has always been interested in business and entrepreneurship from a very young age. From selling slime out of her bag at summer camp to helping her dad market and sell products, she always tried to be involved in business in any way she can. Growing up, her experiences in business have been consistently male-dominated and under-resourced.

Due to this, Amaris wanted to make a change. Which is why she created Camp EntrepreneuHER in order to make a difference. To create a space where women can find resources, mentorship, and opportunity. In it's first year, we had over 30+ participants, spanning across 10 states and 3 countries worldwide. Amaris plans to expand this impact and reach more girls and women across the world.

Along with getting into Duke and Cornell(Dyson), Amaris chose to attend UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Cain Scholar. She is majoring in Business Administriation with a concentration in Marketing at the Kenan-Flagler business school as well as double majoring in Advertising and Public Relations at the Hussman school of Journalism.
