Explore global technology issues and practice core digital literacy skills while using online collaboration tools and application software. My group partner Shannia Redhi and I, focused or research about Italy (Shannia) and Colombia (Me). We researched different facts about Colombia's and Italy's population, technology usage and digital divide among others.
The majority of the population's religion on both countries is Catholicism, 98.2% of Colombians are Catholics, while 74.5% of Italians are Catholics as well.
Through this project I learned that is very easy to collaborate on presentation online, without working physically together. My partner and I don't know each other, and we were able to communicate and collaborate on this presentation together, by sharing the presentation link, allowing ourselves to edit and save changes, and communicate through email. In regards the countries, I learned that Italy and Colombia have some similarities. Even though Colombia is a bigger country, Italy has a higher population, therefore, when it comes to technology for example, Italy has a slightly higher social media user count than Colombia. (Please refer to the image above for interesting facts about technology usage in both countries).
