To explore and compare sources, identify risks and threats on digital privacy of electronic devices, while applying our digital literacy skills. My lesson learned on this assignment was to carefully evaluate information, which on the last module I conclude was the digital literacy facet that I am least competent. I carefully reviewed the sources and the supporting evidence of the facts stated on each article.
This Article focuses on the cibersecurity issue of Hacking, two individuals were charged with the crimes of "Grand larceny, computer tampering and conspiracy" (Donahue, 2025) Around 900 tickets were stolen from the tickets platform Stubhub by a subcontractor partnered with Stubhub in Jamaica and were resold for about $600,000. Fans were affected, however, Stubhub was able to refund them and also strenght their security protocols to avoid future scams. (Donahue, 2025)
To protect ourselves when making purchases online, is important to make sure it is a verified listing/seller that is well known, and that the website is accurate, do not save financial information!

Accuracy & Purpose: The purpose of the article is to inform the current event and the issue that occurred with the hackers, it comes from a reliable source which is Billboard, and I also checked and other relevant sources such as The New York Times posted this information as well. In regards the facts, there are very strong facts such as the arrest of the two individuals that demonstrate this new is in fact true. Also, the article does mention that some facts are just allegations which have not been confirmed yet.
This article focuses on the cybersecurity issue of Identity theft, An office manager pleaded guilty to "count of wire fraud, one count of bank fraud, one count of aggravated identity theft and three counts of tax fraud" (Gear, 2025). One of the ways that the office manager was able to commit fraud and Identity theft was through the company's accounting software. According to court documents, she embezzled around $158,000 (Gear, 2025). In regards, the identity theft, she used a coworker information and applied for a credit card, once approved she maxed out the credit card (Gear, 2025).

In order to prevent this from happening, small business should improve their security, and their employe's security, such as implementing authentication methods, only allow key employees to access confidential information and have supervisors monitoring them.
