The following text has been corroborated from the Japanese and English webpages because they're very similar. Important differences are highlighted in bold.

1. Find out which film you need to use.

In-game notifications related to each NostalJunk Contest will be delivered to players via SpotPass.

Be sure to read all notifications carefully—among other details, these notifications will tell you which silhouette film is the subject of the current Challenge.

2. Send in your submission.

Select a NostalJunk artifact that you’ve created using the current Contest’s subject film from your exhibition space in Chibi-Robo!: Photo Finder, and then follow the instructions presented in the game to submit it.

* Please note that only one NostalJunk may be submitted per copy of the game per Challenge.

3. Download the nominees.

Nintendo will evaluate each submission and select 10 nominees that demonstrate exceptional creativity to be in the running for Top NostalJunk. These nominees will then be made available for download in the game so that players can vote for their favorite.

In the Silhouette Prediction Quiz, no nominated work will be announced for everyone to vote. We will announce the answer to the quiz and inform you whether the NostalJunk you sent was the correct answer via SpotPass.

If there are works with excellent ideas, up to 10 works will be selected for the Idea Award. The Idea Award photos can be downloaded in the game.

4. Vote for your favorite.

Once you have downloaded a Challenge’s nominees, you can visit your museum’s judging room in game and vote for your favorite.

The nominee that receives the most votes will earn the title of Top NostalJunk, and its creator will receive a special Chibi-Robo Wii U Basic Set. The creator of every other nominee will receive a Chibi-Robo T-Shirt. In addition, we will give a participation prize to 100 people who have been selected by lottery from all the participants, in the form of a Chibi-Robo Prepaid eShop card.

There is no vote in the Silhouette Prediction Quiz. The participation prize will be given to 100 people selected by lottery from those who answered correctly.

The participation prize is limited to 1 per person from either the Contest or Quiz.

  • We will announce future contests as soon as they are decided.

  • The prizes will not change in future contests.

The Chibi-Robo!: Photo Finder software allows players to upload user-created content to and download user-created content from Nintendo via the Internet. The following precautions should be kept in mind when making use of this functionality:

  • NostalJunk submissions may be viewed by many people. They might be downloaded by other users and/or used by Nintendo or other third parties, and in such cases, the title of a shared NostalJunk may be made public. Once sent, an entry cannot be recalled or deleted, so please use caution when choosing to upload an entry.

  • Due to various circumstances, NostalJunk submissions may be deleted without prior notice. Moreover, any entry deemed inappropriate by Nintendo may be deleted or prohibited from public viewing.

  • Please do not submit entries that contain personal information, violate copyright law, or could cause offense.

  • Please note that Nintendo is not liable for any damages that may be incurred as a result of using online-connection features.

How We Will Contact Winners

*Please be sure to read.

  • The prize winners will be notified via in-game SpotPass notification. When the final results of the contest are announced, we will send notifications of any prizes won.

  • When prizes are announced, any recipient must please input their address using the Nintendo 3DS Internet Browser via a link from the in-game notification. If one does not enter the info within the given time period, or if there is an error in the content, we may not be able to deliver the prize and may revoke it.

  • We will confirm the delivery address by phone or email, and if a winner does not receive the prize due to reasons such as moving to another location or long absence, we may revoke your right to win the prize.

  • Prizes cannot be exchanged/returned/cashed and the right to win cannot be transferred to a third party. In addition, a winning or nomination prize and a participation prize can be won only once during each Chibi-Robo! Photo-Finder competition.

  • Prize design or other details may change without notice.

  • We cannot answer individual inquiries about winning.
