• Bill saw his first hummingbird, which the group agreed they have officially arrived, and a Rose-breasted grosbeak.

• Dede saw a deceased barred owl on the road, only its talons and wings left. And newts are mating at her pond. Wood frogs, green frogs, and peepers are screaming.

• Jake has phoebes eating flies from his compost and hummingbirds.

• Jayne & Dede joined Sophie Mazowita's tracking walk at the Brewster Uplands and learned a ton! They saw, what is believed to be, coyote and bobcat scat, an enormous grouse scat pile from the winter, turkey feathers from a kill, an otter latrine, a beaver scent mound, and lots of signs of deer.
