Nike Hole in the Wall XC Invite

Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025  (Students leave Friday, October 10)

Location: Lakewood High School; 17023 11th Ave NE, Arlington, WA

Itinerary:

Friday

• 9:00 am: Students arrive at school (NO SCHOOL DAY)

• 9:15 am: Bus loads

• 3:30 pm: Bus arrives at hotel (change into running clothes)

• 4:30 pm: Bus arrives at Lakewood HS for race course preview

• 6:30 pm: Depart Lakewood HS, pick up dinner

• 8:00 pm: Team dinner, team meeting, 

• 10:00 pm Lights out

Saturday

• 8:30 am: Bus loads Saturday morning

• 9:00 am: Bus arrives at Lakewood HS

• 10:20 am: Women’s JV Gold

• 12:20 pm: Men’s JV Gold

• 1:00 pm: Women’s Elite

• 1:30 pm: Men’s Elite

• 2:40 pm: Bus departs Lakewood HS

• Dinner stop on the way home

• ~8:30 pm: Bus arrives at CHS

Which Runners Typically Participate: Top 14 girls & top 14 boys

What to Bring: 

The coaches will provide hotel room assignments.

Runners should bring uniform, racing flats, spikes, money for extra food and race shirts, and clothing appropriate for the weather. Plus, pack for an overnight: bathroom supplies, change of clothes, pajamas, comfy shoes.

Families/Friends Pointers*:

• Parking: There will be plenty of parking in the high school parking lots on 11th Ave NE. There is also plenty of parking avialable on the east side of campus at Lakewood Elementary and Middle School, as well as English Crossing Elementary School. Additional, but very limited, parking will be available at Faith Lutheran Church. No general parking will be available in the bus turn-around areas at Lakewood Elementary School and Lakewood Middle School. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON 11TH AVE.

• There is additional parking at Cougar Creek Elementary, just up the hill from the stadium on 11th Ave NE. The event staff is working on a potential shuttle bus between Cougar Creek Elementary and Lakewood High School. See map.

• Where to View: This course allows you to see your runner a couple of different times. Runners start out in a large field. Note the distance between the start and finish lines. If you stay close to the start line to the South, you will see your runner loop around twice. Head quickly to the finish area, which is on the track. 

• This race is typically found live on YouTube if you can't make it in person. Video shows the start, usually around the 1 mile mark, the 2 mile mark, and crossing the finish line. Watch here!

• No dogs or other pets are allowed on school grounds.

• Vendors will be on site selling Hole In The Wall themed merchandise.

*A note for friends/families: Please remember that the safety of our runners, and you, is a priority! Be cautious when finding a spot to view the race. Stay off the course and stay out of the way as these runners will not stop for you!
