Getting Home Safely

Since we are meeting after dark, it's important to us that anyone who comes to our observing nights has a safe way of getting home. Here are some tips:

1. Walk with a buddy. 

   • Ask your other observatory attendees if they would like to walk together.

2. Organize a ride with a friend ahead of time, or drive to the observatory. 

   • The orange lots (H12, H14, H16) and the Grand Ave Parking Structure have temporary pay station permits after 5 PM. 

3. Take the Mustang Shuttle. It provides transport to PCV and Cerro Vista.  

   • There is a stop at the PAC, and it loops every 10 minutes. Check out the details here.

4. Take the bus instead of walking. 

   • There is a stop close by at the PAC and another near Kennedy Library.
