PART A: LEADERSHIP AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT PORTFOLIO 

First Grammar Baulkham Hills is owned and managed by G8 Education. Ellie Kennard is the centre manager, demonstrating outstanding leadership in achieving targeted goals by providing clear direction and fostering solid relationships with families and team members (Guide to the National Quality Standard, p. 166).  The centre complies with the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Law and Regulations, and the assessment and rating process to deliver high-quality care and services to children. The recruitment process and background checks of every staff are done by G8 education. The leadership and management at First Grammar Baulkham Hills are highly influenced by the positive relationships developed within the team and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ellie oversees the day-to-day operations through collaborative partnerships and a shared vision to continually enhance the quality and care provided. She believes in joyful and meaningful learning, maintaining positive and trusting relationships, and working together as a team to support ongoing learning and inquiry for all. 

The manager complies with the Education and Care Service National Law and Regulations. This includes maintaining staff-to-child ratios, ensuring the health and safety of the children, managing the monthly budget, and overseeing the overall operation of the service daily. She is also responsible for managing childcare subsidies for each child, handling funds for resources, and implementing effective educational programs and practices within the service. Ellie also oversees the enrollment process, including conducting tours of the centre, and keeps records of allergies and medication for each child to ensure that all staff members are informed. First Grammar has two educational leaders: Kinder, who has completed her ECT degree, and Kalpana, who is working towards ECT. Kinder is the educational leader for the Preschool room, while Kalpana is the room leader for the nursery  (Babies and toddlers) room.
