His perspective was shaped by a summer working as a customer service representative for Bodog, where he regularly interacted with customers making deposits and using the platform. He recalls receiving multiple calls from users who were repeatedly depositing money into their accounts. One call in particular stayed with him: a wife contacted customer service and pleaded, “Please prevent my husband from depositing money.” That experience gave Jessy a firsthand look at the human side of gambling and the potential consequences that can exist behind the transactions taking place on a betting platform.

Years later, that experience helped spark a different question: What if sports fans could experience the excitement of making predictions, competing, and proving their knowledge without the financial risks of gambling? That question became the foundation for Called It!
