RIO GRANDE - DIVISION 6
The New Mexico Rail RunNers N-scale club traveled to Cheyenne, Wyoming in the middle of May for the Sherman Hill Train Show. We set up a 25' X 40' layout that included the Cheyenne Yard as it appeared in 1959. Charlie Melin, from Stockholm, Sweden, met us in Cheyenne for the show, and he was made an Honorary Member of the New Mexico Rail RunNers. He also attended the 2013 Rails Along the Rio Grande Convention in Albuquerque.

Six members of Division 6 traveled to Denver the first weekend of June to attend the Rocky Mountain Region Convention. Great operating sessions, layout tours, and clinics were the highlight of the Show. Several members also operated on the Colorado Model Railroad Museum, at the Greeley Freight Station layout, while conventioneers visited.

On Saturday July 11th, Division 6 had their Annual Rail Fanning Day. Members traveled southeast of Albuquerque to Mountainair to train watch the BNSF Transcon. We worked our way back toward Belen, with stops at Abo Canyon, both east and west ends, for photos, and then met for lunch at Pete's Café in Belen, across from the rail yard and Harvey House. Twenty-nine members attended, which included four youth members and their parents.
