Calgary Folk Club
Calgary Folk Club
I’m part of the Calgary Folk Club team, responsible for marketing and social media for the club’s live concert season.
My work focuses on building awareness around the club and its artists through social media, digital campaigns, promotional content, and day-to-day communications. From introducing audiences to upcoming performers to keeping the season visible between shows, I help tell the story of the club and connect its music with the people who make up its audience.
For me, it’s a chance to combine my background in music, communications, and live events with an organization that has been an important part of Calgary’s folk and roots music community for decades. I’m particularly interested in the challenge of promoting live music in a way that feels genuine, giving artists the attention they deserve while making audiences want to be in the room.
