As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was asked to design workshop posters for a mission conference.
I wanted to make the conference feel special and give the impression that this wasn't just another meeting—what the missionaries would learn would be worth remembering. Each poster needed to be distinct but look like part of the same conference.
I used Canva.com, going for a clean look with flat vector art, fonts, visual effects that could each portray the ideas being offered.
Colors were bold and energetic, with blues to bring trust, green to help calm, orange to inspire energy, and red to show power.
I made this graphic to portray my love of Material Design and my dislike for how Google's app iconography had been changing.
With over 17,000 up-votes on Reddit and articles written about it on Android Police, Android Headlines, and Droid Life, it seems to have struck a chord!
I volunteered to create this flyer for then "Pathway", now BYU Pathway Worldwide, an organization working to make high-quality, education available around the globe. This flier was distributed to advertise a conference for volunteers across the United States.
As a missionary, we were given a plan to follow that outlined scripture study each day, but it was mostly just a wall of cramped, plain text. I decided to see if I could make it more appealing and approachable to encourage more missionaries to follow the plan by cutting the fat and taking a calendar approach.
An aspiring internet content with the last name "Redford" creator hired me as a graphic designer to create a portrait of him, as well as banners for his social media accounts.
The banner above portrays my vector art of iconic video game characters, along with Redford in a red "Ford" truck.
These icons were part of a mock investor presentation for a fictional business.
As part of our economics class, my peers and I created the concept of a software company called Avocado. I created the company logo and app icons following Google's material design guidelines.
See my Presentations page for the mock pitch meeting presentation.
I created this mockup magazine cover and article for a visual media class using a camera, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Indesign.
Though I did not create the game, absolutely love The Keeyp. It's a rogue-like inspired board game where you try to be the first player to find the Key and be and escape through the Gate.
I tried my hand at drawing additional characters and item cards for the game, as well as redesigning the card layout.
