Jacqueline Crawshaw
I am a qualified assessor and specialist of Dyslexia. I am also a practising primary teacher with 20+ years experience. Inclusive of teaching all subjects, I am fortunate to utilise my specialism to support my work colleagues, children and their parents; as well as teach literacy intervention groups within a primary school context. My own children are dyslexic and my experiences with them in a primary and secondary setting have been my inspiration, - my motivation to ensure I do my best to support all children (their families and schools) so they too have the tools to become the best version of themselves in their adult lives.
Dyslexia assessments, in my experience, have made murky waters clear, and instead of finding more barriers, created opportunities and opened communication channels. By identifying strengths, removing those barriers and providing a clarity of direction, children can learn to love themselves for who they are and what they can do- not for what they can't.
