I use LibreOffice at work for proper ODF saving while on Windows. In the menus for Calc there is "Window" and within that menu is "Freeze" which allows you to freeze rows so when scrolling down it stays on top. However, when I press "Alt" and type "Freeze" nothing comes up. There is not even a "Window" menu option (lo-menubar installed).

I too had the same trouble even after upgrading to 3.5.4. After some effort I found a method to freeze the Calc. Go to Tools > Customize Keyboard. In the functions category click the option view. The option to freeze windows will appear in the function category. Make a short cut key for that, for example Ctrl+3.The freeze option is activated. Hopefully we can manage with this until the bug is fixed.

Sci: The value you specify (from 1 to 10) controls the number of significant digits for displayed calculation results. Calculation results are rounded off to the specified digit before being displayed.

Specifies whether to display a dot or a comma for the calculation result decimal mark. A dot is always displayed during input. When dot is selected as the decimal mark, the separator for multiple results is a comma (,). When comma is selected, the separator is a semicolon (;).

Specifies the display font size when LineI/LineO or LineI/DecimalO is selected for Input/Output. Up to four lines can be displayed while Normal Font is selected, and up to six lines can be displayed with Small Font.

Now I want to have a drop down list in A3 to choose between the strings in E3 (Text a) and H3 (Text b) such that automatically cell B3 contains the string from F3 i.e. Value a if Text a is chosen and Value b if Text b is selected in my drop-down menu.

On my Mint Box 3 (OS is Mint 21) I'm using LibreOffice Calc version 7.3.7.2, I have created a Group Box containing 3 option buttons (mutually exclusive radio buttons). I have been trying to figure out how to associate the call to the macro when a button is pushed.

I have created a macro folder under "My Macros" and a dummy Javascript macro in that folder (Tools > Macros > Organize Macros > Javascript > ...), and now I'm trying to figure out how to have it called on an event related to the Group Box and/or buttons in the group.

I set design mode on the form, right-click and open "Form Properties" dialog, selecting "Events" tab. I see a list of events, but none that relates to a button selection, or button push event. They all seem to be related to Document events. If I open "Control Properties", there is no event tab.

I've spent literally days trying how to do this in Calc. I've written a lot of code that manipulates a Calc spreadsheet through a Python program that connects through the socket (starting LibreOffice calc with:

If anyone can point me towards some documentation or tutorial that CLEARLY elucidates the workflow to assign code to events on Group Box controls, or tell me where I need to look in the Calc menus and taskbars, I'd be grateful.

SO - my confusion was related to finding the tool that associated a macro function with an actual form or control event. I was looking in the wrong place. I was looking in the "Form Properties" tool, which has an "Events" tab, but none of those events there actually relate to control events, like buttonPush, rollOver, etc.

The stuff you really want to use is accessed in the "Form Navigator" tool. It took me three days to find anything that even mentioned this tool (I should have looked into this tool when I first noticed it some time ago - my bad).

For my purpose, a group control with three buttons, this dialog displays a tree with 4 items under Form, the group control and three buttons. They all have the same name but the group control has a distinctive icon. Thats the one you want to select, right-click it to get a fly-out menu, then select Properties. This opens a dialog with an Events tab, that actually lists the events you want to handle.

Calc Boost is designed for students to complete the course over the summer or winter break prior to taking Calculus 2. The course involves completing practice modules on important math concepts from algebra, precalculus, and calculus, to help students feel more confident as they transition into Calculus 2. Students may choose to complete the entire course or just focus on specific topics.

Calc Boost can be added as a course on a the student's Canvas page and can be worked through at the student's own pace. Students interested in registering for Calc Boost should fill out our online Calcboost registration form below.

Calc Boost is a resource provided through the STEM SC. For students who have questions or require assistance with Calcboost or the embedded My Open Math tool, come into the STEM SC during our open hours and one of our student assistants can assist you. For general questions feel free to email us at stemsc@csusm.edu.

However the calculated width is near double the width of the html itself. This behavior is also only seen when viewed via responsive emulation (Chrome device mode for example) or on a mobile device. Simply reducing the size of the window will give a proper width.

Has anyone else ran into this same issue? Using the Magento/Luma theme does not have this issue. I cannot provide a url for the site as it is local to my machine and I was unable to find an M2 demo on the internet that is not using Magento/Luma.

Within the "left" & "width" properties, I replaced the value 100% with 100vw. You'd think they'd be the same value since 100% should be 100% of the viewport, but it seemed to address the issue. Not sure why.

Diet*Calc is PC software that can be used to analyze Diet History Questionnaire II (DHQ) and Canadian DHQ II data (see Steps for Using the DHQ). Diet*Calc generates nutrient and food group intake estimates for the standard versions of the DHQ II distributed by the NCI, as well as modified versions of the DHQ. The software consists of three main components:

Diet*Calc version 1.5.0 was released in October 2012 for the U.S. versions, and April 2014 for the Canadian versions. A revision history describing changes made for this release is provided in readme.txt [TXT - 9 KB].

If you need to modify the standard nutrient database, a single nutrient value must be provided by gender and portion size. If you have modified the database to have fewer or greater demographic groups, nutrient values must be included for each group. For most users, creating nutrient values using the method described in Development of the DHQ II Nutrient & Food Group Database may not be possible. Therefore, the database for the DHQ provides a mean gram weight for each database food. This can be used in conjunction with a conventional nutrient value of units/100g to create new values to be modified or added to the DHQ.

The Database Utility, a separate program installed with Diet*Calc, allows you to import nutrient data into the Diet*Calc food database. The utility converts nutrient values expressed as nutrient per 100 grams into the nutrient per serving size format required by Diet*Calc. Once you download and install the Diet*Calc software, you can access both the Diet*Calc analysis and utility programs through the Windows Start menu.

In Windows 7, for the script to work, the account you're using must have launched calc.exe and changed its mode at least once. The script works by modifying a registry setting and will only modify it if exists already (which happens the first time you change modes). The script won't create the registry setting if it's not already there, in case calc.exe changes where it stores the setting in the future. (And, indeed, it did change.)

For example, if you often find yourself needing the scientific and programmer modes, you might want to set up a pair of system-wide hotkeys so that you can push one key from any app to open a scientific calc.exe, and another key to open a programmer calc.exe. (Alternatively, don't specify a mode and use just one hotkey, so that when you push the hotkey a menu appears and you can choose from that.)

The script may fail and do nothing if the account you're using has never launched calc.exe before. It makes sure the registry setting it wants to modify already exists before changing it, to avoid creating a mess in the registry should the setting ever move in the future.[/quote]

Update: It's still there in the final Windows 10, and I have run into so many issues with the Windows 10 calculator (particularly with its broken keyboard support, not taking keyboard focus sometimes even when clicked on, and slow startup) that I'm going to look for a replacement calculator app rather than try to make things work with the Windows 10 one. A lot of other people seem annoyed by the change so maybe Microsoft will fix things with the new one, or let us choose the old one again.
