We are Giovanni and Antonio, united not only by a family bond, but above all by a shared passion for hospitality and a deep love for our land, Calabria.

Giovanni knows Villa San Giovanni like few others. After many years working with the local municipality, he has built an authentic relationship with the area, its people, its stories, and its traditions. He genuinely enjoys sharing with those visiting for the first time.

Antonio was born and raised in Calabria and now lives in London, where he works in the hospitality sector. This journey has strengthened his attention to detail, quality of service, and, most importantly, the human side of welcoming guests.

Calabreeze was born from the meeting of these two worlds: local roots and an international outlook, tradition and contemporary care. We didn’t want to create just a place to stay, but a welcoming, simple, and genuine space where every guest can truly feel at home.

The vibrant yellow symbolises positivity, warmth, and joy — an open invitation to embrace curiosity and wander with an open heart. The playful font and the globe icon, adorned with hearts, reflect a love for the world, people, and cultures that make each journey meaningful.

But the meaning goes even deeper, starting with our name.

Cala comes from Italian and refers to a small cove or cave by the sea — a protected, tranquil place where land and water meet.
Breeze, in English, evokes a gentle sea breeze: light, calming, and refreshing.

Together, Cala-Breeze paints the image of a peaceful seaside place, where life slows down and you can simply breathe, feel, and be present.

At the same time, Calabreeze carries another meaning: in local dialect, it echoes the word used to describe people from Calabria. A meeting of languages and cultures — Italian, English, local roots — just like our guests.
