MPHD COVID Response Program

Through my role as the coordinator for the Community Health Worker COVID Response Program at the Metro Public Health Department, I created several infographics highlighting data I was collecting. This data was shared with the Mayor's office, and used to guide our program's strategy in serving immigrant and refugee communities in Nashville. I also created extensive resource guides for the Community Health Worker team.

White Paper

I also wrote a white paper to highlight the Community Health Worker model in the context of a COVID response effort. This paper was used to evaluate the impact of the program at the Metro Public Health Department, and advocate for its continuation during the pandemic.

Urban Green Lab: Program Evaluation

Through working on an interdisciplinary team, I performed a program evaluation for a sustainability workshop led by Urban Green Lab, a Nashville-based nonprofit. I developed evaluation tools to be used to determine which aspects of the workshop were effective, and which areas needed to be improved.

Global Health Case Competition

The Global Health Case Competition is an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate in developing innovative solutions to a global health problem.

I served as the Marketing Chair for the 2020 Global Health Case Competition, as part of my role within the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health Student Advisory Council. As the head of the marketing team, I helped to create and distribute all of the promotional material for the event.

2021 Global Health Case Competition Co-Chair

I served as the Committee Co-Chair for the event the following year, leading a team of 15 students on the planning committee, 10 volunteers, and 16 judges. I oversaw the planning of the event, creating a new subcommittee to deal with the logistics of hosting a large online competition. We saw over 175 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students sign up, the highest number of participants to ever register for the first virtual Case Competition.

University of Zambia - Leadership and Management Program

Developed a leadership and management program for healthcare professionals at the University of Zambia (UNZA) through a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant. Worked on a team to perform a literature review and identify relevant leadership and management curriculum. Used this research to build out a syllabus and design the program for UNZA faculty. The program was completed in January of 2021.
