What is after effects?
After effects is an adobe program that is a great tool for creating motion graphics. It has the tools needed to easily add motion is graphics and text. It can be used to combine work as well as creating original content. Work can be saved in multiple formats including gifs and mp4s.

When I was assigned this project, I was really interested in either creating a lyric video or an inforgraphic. I tried to find inspiration/ style that I could see myself actually making. Most of the motion graphic videos were found on youtube. There were some that were way too advanced but I liked that these were impressive and simple.
My Process
My Process
I started my process with an idea brainstorm and mind map. This helped me realize the lyric video was the stronger idea.
Once I had my idea selected, I started storyboarding my ideas. I then took images of my storyboard and imported it into after effects. I used these images to create an animatic. This step helped me figure out timing and think through some of my ideas
