Reporting Issues and Incidents

At a meeting in 2010 we were delighted to have support of Community Safety Officers who have got to know the woods very well. They are grateful for as many calls as possible if there is disturbance.

If possible let them know locating info. e.g. the number of the nearest house or self guided trail post number. Please report any non urgent incident on 101, even if no immediate action, an increased volume of calls results in more patrols.

For urgent reports of antisocial behaviour to the police useful information includes the direction of travel of any suspects leaving the area and identifying features.

Note on Firewood

We know that some people use firewood from the woods, please leave the larger logs that have been stacked as habitat piles. Please note that rhodendrom cuttings are NOT recommended as firewood (can be carcinogenic). Please consider a donation of time or money to the woods group in return for firewood.
