TERMS OF SERVICE FOR OVERFLOW

Overflow is a free-to-play puzzle game published by Cairn Games ("we", "our", "us"). These terms
cover your use of the game. By installing or playing it you accept them; if you do not, please
uninstall the game.
These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what the game collects and why. Where
the two overlap, the Privacy Policy governs anything to do with your data:

THE SHORT VERSION
• Overflow is free to play. You may play it for personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
• The game, its artwork, sounds and code belong to us.
• Coins and powerups inside the game are not money, cannot be cashed out, and have no value
outside the game.
• Your progress can be lost. Keep nothing in here you would be upset to lose.
• We provide the game as it is, without promises that it will always work.
• You must be 13 or over to play.
YOUR LICENCE TO PLAY
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play
Overflow on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment.
You may not sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the game; modify, reverse-engineer or decompile
it, except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted; use cheats, bots, modified clients or
automation; or attempt to interfere with the game's servers, remote configuration or other players'
use of it.
WHAT BELONGS TO WHOM
The game and everything in it — code, artwork, level designs, sounds, music, the Overflow name and
logo — remain ours or our licensors'. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
Third-party components are used under their own licences, including the Unity engine, Google Play
Games Services, Firebase and the Google Play In-App Review library.
COINS, POWERUPS AND OTHER IN-GAME ITEMS
Coins, powerups, flows, grid themes and anything else earned or held inside Overflow are a licence
to use a feature of the game, not property and not currency.
• They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the game.
• They are not refundable, transferable or inheritable.
• We may change what they cost, what they do, or how many you can hold, as part of balancing the
game.
• They exist only while the game does. If Overflow is discontinued, they end with it.
There are currently no real-money purchases in Overflow. If that changes, purchases will be
handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and refund policy, and we will update this document
before any such feature ships.
YOUR SAVED PROGRESS
Progress is stored on your device, and additionally in Google Play Games Services' cloud save if you
choose to sign in.
We cannot guarantee your progress. It may be lost through a device change, a reinstall, a cloud
save conflict, a bug, or a reset you perform yourself in the game's Options. We may also reset
progress or in-game balances where it is necessary to fix a fault or address abuse. None of that
entitles you to compensation, because nothing here was bought.
AGE
Overflow is intended for players aged 13 and over, which is the age rating declared in the
Google Play listing. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them — see the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice.
AVAILABILITY, UPDATES AND ENDING THE GAME
We may change, suspend or discontinue Overflow, or any part of it, at any time and without notice.
Levels and balancing are delivered by remote configuration and can change without an app update.
We may stop providing the game entirely. We will try to give reasonable notice where we can, but we
are not obliged to.
You may stop at any time by uninstalling.
NO WARRANTY
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express
or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose,
or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or
compatible with your device.
Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or
consequential loss, or for loss of data, progress, in-game items or profits, arising out of your use
of the game.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our
negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be
limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights you have as one, and these terms
do not affect them.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and
material changes will be noted in the game's What's New panel. Continuing to play after a change
means you accept the updated terms.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere
in the UK or in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your own
country, and may bring proceedings there.
