About

Hi, I'm Selewirre Iskvary!

My name is a proto-Aive name (my first and only conlang) and it means "traveling sibling (or moon), daughter of fire". When I took my first steps into world-building, I was keen on creating a scientifically plausible world. In my search, however, I couldn't find online tools with a graphic user interface to help me with my calculations. So, I set off to write my own code. These programs began as a personal project, but once I developed a solid base and accumulated dozens of peer-reviewed papers, I continued writing more code. 300+ hours later, Caelian Assistants was born. I've learned a lot along the way and I'm excited to share my work with you!

Caelian Assistants are meant to be the assistants of the Roman god of the sky (that's you!). They exist to help him create beautiful worlds with detail, scientific accuracy, and room for creative diversion from reality - if you so wish.

Professionally I am a physicist working in the field of quantum information and quantum computing, but I'm also passionate about world-building and conlanging. Learning astrophysics is more of a hobby for me.

I aspire to create a variety of tools for the world-building and conlanging communities, that allow for the design of intricate worlds and languages with a scientific, albeit not creatively stale, focus.

A few projects I have in mind for the near future

  • A Plate tectonics simulator, with image rendering over billions of years

  • A conlanging tool to allow for automatic grammatical and syntactic linguistic evolution, considering all different affixes and changes in speech.
