PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: September 5, 2026
1. Introduction
Flowbit Labs ("we," "us," or "our") provides CadenceRun (the "App"), a running cadence metronome that plays a beat at a user-selected SPM (steps per minute).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App, including information stored locally, information processed by third-party services, and information you provide when contacting us.
CadenceRun does not require an App account and does not offer Google Play Games sign-in.
2. Information Stored Locally
The App stores exercise records and settings locally on your device. These may include session timing, duration, selected cadence, and your selected sound, number style, and playback preferences, depending on the features you use.
We do not upload your exercise records to a developer-operated server, and we cannot access those local records remotely.
Exercise records are not provided by us to advertising services for ad targeting.
Local storage does not mean that every part of the App operates without external data processing. Google AdMob and Google Play Billing process information as described below.
3. Audio, Microphone, and Device Features
CadenceRun generates and plays metronome sounds. It does not use the microphone, record your voice, or collect ambient audio.
The App supports background audio playback, an option to keep the screen on, and a playback status notification with a stop control.
Where required by Android, the App may request notification permission. Notification and background playback features use information necessary to show and control the current playback state.
You can manage notification permissions and background activity through your device settings. Restrictions may affect notification controls or background playback.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
The free version may use Google AdMob to display ads.
Google's Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP addresses, device and account identifiers, advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. An IP address may be used to estimate general location.
Google may process this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The specific processing depends on SDK configuration, consent choices, and available identifiers.
Where applicable, advertising consent or privacy choices may be presented. Non-personalized ads may still involve data processing for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
PRO removes in-app advertising. Purchasing PRO does not itself delete information previously processed by advertising providers.
For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and advertising information linked in Section 12.
5. Google Play Billing
The App may offer a one-time PRO upgrade using Google Play Billing.
Google processes payment and purchase information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment card number or other complete payment credentials.
The App may process purchase-related information returned by Google Play, such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, purchase status, and entitlement information, to unlock, verify, and restore PRO access.
Google Play may retain purchase and transaction records independently of the App. Deleting the App's local data does not delete those records.
6. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Diagnostics
Third-party services used for ads and billing may process technical information for analytics, crash reporting, diagnostics, security, and service reliability.
This may include device or App information, error information, and interactions related to those services. Such processing is separate from the local storage of your exercise history.
This policy does not describe a separate developer-operated analytics or crash-reporting system. If we introduce additional data collection, we will update this policy and provide any required notice or consent request.
7. Information You Send to Us
If you contact flowbitlabs@gmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as your message, device details, screenshots, or purchase reference.
We use this information to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle support or privacy requests. Support messages are processed through our email service provider.
Please avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. Exercise records remain local unless you choose to include them in a message to us.
8. Purposes and Legal Bases
We handle information as necessary to:
- Provide metronome playback and save local preferences and exercise history.
- Verify purchases and provide PRO features.
- Display and measure ads, subject to applicable privacy choices.
- Diagnose technical issues and protect against fraud or misuse.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as support and security, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it through available privacy controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.
9. Sharing and International Processing
We do not sell your locally stored exercise history or upload it to our own servers.
Third-party providers may receive information directly through their services, as described in this policy. We may also disclose information we hold when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, security, or users.
Providers such as Google may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Their policies describe their international processing practices and applicable safeguards.
10. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Exercise records:
Exercise history is stored locally for the most recent six months, with a maximum of 500 records. Older records are automatically deleted as these limits are applied. When the maximum is exceeded, the oldest records are removed.
Local settings and other App data:
These generally remain on your device until changed, cleared, or removed. You can delete locally stored App data through Android's App storage settings or by uninstalling the App.
Device backups:
If your operating system backs up App data, copies may be handled by your platform provider according to your device settings and that provider's policies. We do not operate a cloud backup service. Manage any platform backups separately.
Support correspondence:
We retain support messages for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and related issues, meet legal obligations, or handle disputes. We delete or anonymize them when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
Third-party records:
Google and other applicable service providers determine retention of information they hold under their own policies and legal obligations. The six-month and 500-record limits apply only to local exercise history, not to advertising, support, or Google Play transaction records.
You may email us to request deletion of information we hold about you. We cannot remotely erase records stored only on your device or directly delete records independently controlled by Google.
There is no CadenceRun account to delete.
11. Security and Your Privacy Rights
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device. Deleted local exercise records may not be recoverable.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of information we hold about you, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant data protection authority.
Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We may request limited information reasonably necessary to verify and respond to your request.
For information controlled by Google, you may also need to use Google's privacy controls or contact Google directly.

13. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the App, including exercise, advertisements, and purchases.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information that should not have been collected, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, data practices, or legal requirements. Updates will show a revised "Last updated" date.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making material changes to data processing.
