How Do I Join?

Hello and thank you for your interest in our club! To become a member and qualify for notation on your transcript every semester you must complete the following requirements:

1.) Fill out an application. This application must be turned in to either the current president or membership director or to the official AGS box. Our box is located in the Senate Office (Room 902) on the Aptos Campus. For detailed information regarding the specific types of membership please refer to this page.

2.) Pay dues. Dues are $20 initially and go up to $30 later in the semester. To learn when the current dues increase, please see our calendar either on our front page here or here. Also please note that even the $30 are due before finals. Refer to our calendar again for the due date this semester. Dues are non-refundable.

3.) Complete 15 hours of community service. At least 5 of those hours must be done through AGS and an additional 10 or more may be completed through outside community service by filling out an Outside Community Service Form. This form needs to be turned into the current VP of Community Service before the semester ends. Please see the current calendar to learn what day that will be this semester. Also note that hours will not be credited if you are receiving any other form of compensation or credit through any other organization. This includes work, and externship/intership, volunteering put towards achieving notoriety through another organization, etc.

To receive credit for attending AGS events be sure to sign in and to sign out on the official sign-in sheet that will be present at each event.

To find out more about our current volunteer opportunities please like us on facebook or check our calendar again throughout the semester as repeated updates will be made.

4.) Maintain at least a 3.0 minimum GPA.
