Dr. Yoshiko Miyata Ishioka
Coordinator, CAARNet
Professor of Psychology, Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities
O.P. Jindal Global University, India
Yoshiko Miyata Ishioka is a researcher specialising in the psychology of ageing. Originally based in Japan, she is currently conducting research in India. While Japan is often seen as a leading example of a super-aged society due to its high proportion of older adults and long life expectancy, there is much to learn from neighbouring Asian countries and their diverse cultural approaches to ageing. She is committed to building a network where researchers and students interested in ageing and care can connect, collaborate, and contribute to shaping a society that values longevity and intergenerational well-being. Her background and most of her work can be found here.
