Traveling to Waterloo


Air travel to Toronto: The closest major airport is Pearson International Airport in Toronto, approximately 100 km east of Kitchener-Waterloo. The easiest way to reach Waterloo's main campus from the Pearson International Airport is to take an uber, bus, or train.

  • Uber info: takes 1.25-2 hours, costs about $120

  • Bus info: GoBus, takes 2-2.5 hours and costs about $20, departs from Terminal 1 between columns Q2 and Q4. More info can be found here.

  • Train info: UP express train from Terminals 1 or 3 to Union station (about 25 min, about $12). From there, you can take a trains or buses to Kitchener such as VIA Rail (about $35-50, about 1.5 hours)

There is also airport limo or airporter services such as Airways Transit.


Air travel to Waterloo: The Region of Waterloo International Airport is 20 km from Waterloo's main campus. The airport is served by WestJet (direct flights to Calgary). To reach Waterloo's campuses from the Region of Waterloo Airport, you'll need to rent a car, hire a taxi, or take an Uber (about 30 minutes and costs about $40)
