CA Focus ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the CA Focus mobile application ("App").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide:
Your name (entered during onboarding)
Your CA course level and group selection
Study session data you log (subjects, durations, dates)
Planner and schedule entries you create
Notification preferences and reminder settings
Referral codes you enter (validated but not stored against your identity)
Information collected automatically:
App crash reports and error logs (used solely to fix bugs)
In-app purchase and subscription status (processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat)
What we do NOT collect:
We do not collect your email address
We do not collect your phone number
We do not collect your location
We do not create or store user accounts on our servers
We do not track you across other apps or websites
2. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED
All your personal data — your name, study logs, planner entries, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to our servers.
If you delete the App or use the "Reset App" feature, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
RevenueCat We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your subscription status and purchase history. It does not have access to your study data or personal information entered in the App. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Supabase We use Supabase solely to validate referral codes. When you enter a referral code, it is sent to Supabase to check its validity and track usage count. No personal information is linked to this request. Supabase's privacy policy is available at: https://supabase.com/privacy
Apple App Store / Google Play Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment details. Their respective privacy policies apply to payment processing.
Expo / React Native The App is built using Expo and React Native. Expo may collect limited diagnostic data for platform stability. See Expo's privacy policy at: https://expo.dev/privacy
4. NOTIFICATIONS
CA Focus may send you local notifications for:
Daily study reminders (only if you enable them)
Active timer status while a session is running
Study session completion alerts
We do not send marketing push notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
CA Focus is intended for students aged 16 and above preparing for CA examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times. You can:
Edit your name and profile in Settings
Delete all data using "Reset App & Clear All Data" in Settings
Uninstall the App to remove all data from your device
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
