The monitoring system, developed by the UniOR NLP research group as part of the C4E project, identifies texts from social media in which environmental crimes are reported. The system provides as output information regarding the presence or absence of environmental alerts and possibly the type of crime reported in the text. Furthermore, the system shows the linguistic characteristics exploited and the salient information for a concrete intervention by the competent authorities.
