From the Manufacturer

"The We-no-nah J-193 is designed for paddlers of moderate size, or for lighter paddlers looking for a good combination of speed and stability. The J-193 was designed to be the sistership of the new 2000 J-203 that came out this year for the 18'6" C-1 racers. The J-193’s eighteen foot length gives it exceptional tracking ability combined with the blazing speed that Gene Jensen’s designs are famous for. Yet the 193 is maneuverable enough to handle the various wake riding and sprinting situations that you’ll encounter during a race.

In the J-193 Gene Jensen started with his extremely successful J-190 and pushed the hull to new performance levels For medium sized paddlers the J-193 is the fastest canoe off the starting line and has superb speed over the course of a marathon. The J-193 will be the top canoe of choice for many lighter marathon paddlers."

Feedback & Testimonials

Matt Rudnitsky via New York Paddlesport Racing Association Newsletter

"Very easy to steer and control going upstream, seemed to maintain good speed in all types of water. Turns easy around sharp corners. One con is that it has a maximum weight limit somewhere around 155-160."

Ben Schlimmer via New York Paddlesport Racing Association Newsletter

"Feels very similar to the 203, except on a smaller scale. It is more responsive than the 203, pops quicker, handles like nothing. Wouldn’t recommend anyone over 160lbs paddling it, as it’s an 18ft boat."
