In recognition of the importance of diversity to human health and well being, many international bodies have set a goal of preserving genetic diversity within species. The BEACON initiative aims to develop frameworks that can be used to advance and assess these conservation goals.

Marine species have evolved incredible mechanims for survival, many of which we do not fully understand. The MOSAIC program aims to uncover the molecular, physiological, and ecological mechanisms that have evolved to allow organisms to adapt to and persist in variable environments.

We are developing partnerships with the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University to implement AI advancements in marine genomic research. Examples include using large language models for data integration, developing algorithms for genomic forecasting, and applying emerging methods in protein modeling.
