Dr. Katie Lotterhos is the Director of the Center for Marine Ecological Genomics at Northeastern University, where she investigates how climate shapes biodiversity and how rapid environmental changes impact marine ecosystems. Her research combines theory, experiments, and genomic data to understand adaptation and resilience in marine species across biological, spatial, and temporal scales. She also leads the Ecological and Conservation Genomics Lab, which develops new statistical methods and applies eco-evolutionary genomics to marine conservation, fisheries management, and marine reserve design. Committed to advancing marine science, Dr. Lotterhos plays a key role in training future scientists to tackle the challenges of a changing ocean.
