Katherine Silliman is a Research Scientist with the ‘Omics Program at NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory in Miami, Florida, and an affiliate of the Northern Gulf Institute through Mississippi State University. Her research focuses on bioinformatics, data analysis and visualization, and the development of best practices for diverse marine research projects in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic. She has a particular interest in environmental DNA (eDNA) applications for monitoring biodiversity and ecosystem change.
