Upon arriving in the district, I conducted an instructional technology needs assessment at every campus to gain an understanding of the district's current technology and instructional technology needs. I work directly with the superintendent, district and campus administrators to provide technology support and solutions at the district and campus level. I also provide live stream services for district and campus events, as well as school board meetings. I work closely with the Assistant Superintendent and Campus Principals to plan and conduct instructional technology professional development for the district and for each grade level at each campus based on observational data collected through walkthroughs, teacher feedback, and NetRef/ClassLink data. All Instructional Technology PLC's integrate technology with research based pedagogy, tied to T-TESS rubric, and utilize exit tickets to assess teachers' grasp of instruction provided.
Dell 2-in-1 Mobile Teaching & Docking Stations: Since arriving to the district, I have implemented a Dell 2-in-1 laptop with docking station, monitor, mouse, and keyboard for teacher stations that has eliminated the need for a desktop and mobile device for teachers. The 2-in1 laptop can be flipped around and used as a tablet with the Dell pen allowing teachers the ability to walk around the room and still connect to the interactive projectors wirelessly for more mobility in the classroom, more time in the power zone, and not tied to a stationary teachers station.
ClassLink SSO & Rostering: I have also implemented a SSO and rostering product, ClassLink, that shortens login time and account creation to educational products. Students in grades PK-5th can log into district chromebooks or personal devices with a camera with a QR code instead of having to type in their entire email address and password. From the students' ClassLink dashboards, all educational programs are launched without the need of a username and password. Students can access their ClassLink dashboards from any device, anytime, anywhere allowing for the expansion of learning opportunities to extend beyond the classroom walls and school day for 24 hour access to all materials.
NetRef Teacher Student Device Management: I have also implemented and launched a content filtering and teacher management product to allow teachers to manage student devices for digital classroom management and cybersecurity. NetRef allows teachers to deploy websites, block sites, limit open tabs, monitor screens, and communicate with students from one platform whether face-to-face or virtual.
Epson Interactive Projectors: The district has Epson BrightLink Interactive Projectors at the Elementary, Intermediate and Middle School campuses. Teachers are provided with technical training to use the interactive projectors, instructional tools, and training on how to incorporate activities into lessons to maximize engagement and learning utilizing the interactive board with the students.
New Line Interactive Panels: As the district makes the transition from Epson Interactive Projectors to state-of-the-art New Line Interactive Panels, I created a plan to ensure a seamless and successful integration. In addition to supporting the implementation of New Line Interactive Panels in new elementary and high school construction projects, I developed a strategic plan to replace aging projectors with interactive panels as technology continues to evolve within the education system. This proactive approach ensures that the district stays at the forefront of educational technology, providing students and educators with the best possible learning environment.
New Teacher Technology Training: Each year, I lead the New Teacher Orientation session, equipping new educators with essential technology applications to kickstart their journey within the district. Additionally, I provide access to the LISD Instructional Technology Resource Hub, a centralized repository containing digital resources, videos, and handouts. New teachers also receive a printed copy of the comprehensive New Teacher Technology Survival Guide. During the training, we cover crucial topics including Ascender Gradebook navigation and contact details, NetRef usage, Parent Square communication platform, ClassLink access, familiarity with the Work Order System, and a curated list of digital resources categorized by grade level and subject area. Our goal is to ensure new teachers feel confident and prepared to integrate technology seamlessly into their teaching practices.

I work closely with the superintendent, district and campus administrators, teachers, and staff to provide technology support to all stakeholders. It is vital for the district to keep lines of communication open to parents and community members, especially in challenging times caused by COVID. Due to COVID restrictions, it is important to provide live streaming services to the community so that all stakeholders can take part in school functions.
