Dr Bijayanta Sircar currently working as District Consultant - PH & CD (Public Health & Communicable Disease) in Balurghat (District: Dakshin Dinajpur), Government of West Bengal, India and he completed his PhD in Science (Zoology) under the supervision of Dr Shyamapada Mandal, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Gour Banga, India. He got his M Phil in Zoology (2017) under the guidance of Dr Shyamapada Mandal, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Gour Banga, India. Up to the current date, he has succeeded in publishing ten research articles, three review articles and one book chapter and has attended different (National, International level etc.) conferences in the Microbiology and Pharmaceutical fields. Besides, he has received an award grant for one year, funded by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI), India (August 2016 - July 2017). He achieved his B. Sc. degree in Zoology (in 2012) and in Education (on September 08, 2015) from different affiliated colleges under University of Gour Banga, India. He also acquired his M. Sc. in Zoology (with specialization in Microbiology) from the same University on October 30, 2014.

Furthermore, he obtained several awards viz. the Bharat Gaurav Puraskar (Awarded by KTK Outstanding Achievers and Education Foundation, for the Outstanding Achievements and Remarkable Contribution in The Field of Microbiology at New Delhi on 1st May 2022), Best Article of the issue (Title: Biosynthesis of Elaeocarpus floribundus Mediated Silver Nanoparticles with Broad Antibacterial Spectrum) which was certified by ‘Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences’ and he got the Best poster presenter and Best oral presenter award in 2016 and 2021, respectively.

He is an editorial board member in Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences (ISSN: 2581-5423) Journal since February 28, 2019. He also servs as peer reviewer in different scientific journals including 'Scientific Reports', since 2019.
