Ike Pimentel
I’m Ike and I love to dance, I love to swim, and I really love being a nursing student, not just because I’m excited to be a nurse, but because I love the student community. As a vice president for the Student Nurse Association this year, I’ve enjoyed working together with so many great students across different cohorts. I’m looking forward to representing the students of the College of Nursing as SNA president, to make SNA and your CoN experience better for you!
Nate Rock
I’m currently in my 3rd semester and have loved my time learning how to become a nurse. Two things I love are Disney and my dog, Tucker! I also have Type 1 Diabetes which has led me to pursue a path in diabetes management after I graduate! I’ve spent the past year on the SNA board and have loved serving the BYU nursing students! I’d love if you voted for me to be VP1 this year!
Samantha Hansen
Hi! My name is Sami! I like spending time outdoors and I enjoy being active, whether it's through exercise or out with my friends and family. I am currently a third semester nursing student, and I love it! I have really enjoyed how the program has allowed me to connect with patients, professors, and friends in and out of the hospital. SNA has only magnified these opportunities. I have been an SNA board member for the past year and have enjoyed being able to give back to the program and serve my classmates! In running for Vice President 2, I look forward to the opportunity to better connect with my classmates, patients, and professors In creating and providing new ways to increase the student nurse experience!
Delia Phillips
Hi! I’m Delia and I’m so excited to run for secretary this semester! I love cooking, practicing calligraphy, and all things music! I love the opportunity that SNA offers to unify nursing students and how it helps prepare us in our individual roles to more effectively work together as a healthcare team. I would love to help facilitate this unity as the secretary by helping with the behind-the-scenes administrative/organizational aspects of events and meetings, and to serve each of you in whatever way I can. :)
Katelynn Swapp
Hi everyone! My name is Katelynn! I love roller blading, playing sports with friends, getting creative with different art mediums, and swing dancing (when I have the time). I love learning about the body and how to treat it. Being able to apply that in the nursing program has been awesome! I now want to join SNA to be more involved and get to know more students in the college!
Brooke Robbins
My name’s Brooke! I’m running for Treasurer for BYU SNA. I love staying active through playing volleyball, spikeball, or pickleball. I also love reading or playing board games with my family. I’m obsessed with labor and delivery and can’t wait to become an L&D nurse after I graduate. I’ve loved my experience in the BYU nursing program and want to be more involved by serving in SNA. I’m from Southern California, and fun fact—I love birds and plan on having a very well-trained parrot someday!
Hannah Wilkerson
Hi! I'm Hannah, and I love to play piano, rock climb, ballroom dance, and spend time with people I love. I want to see students have more of a voice in the College of Nursing, so I'm running for SNA board to be in a better position to make that happen!
Tailyn Bradshaw
Hi! I’m Tailyn, a third semester nursing student who genuinely loves people, community, and making others feel like they belong. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to 11+ countries, which has shaped my love for connecting with people from all backgrounds and helped me become adaptable, curious, and open-hearted—qualities I bring into everything I do. These experiences connecting with others deeply influenced my commitment to Christlike compassion and meaningful service. As a former college athlete and national runner-up, I thrive on teamwork, resilience, and showing up consistently for others—whether that’s on a team, in the classroom, or in a hospital unit.
Through working in the respiratory ICU, thoracic trauma, and other hospital settings, I’ve learned that excellent nursing starts with empathy, presence, and truly seeing the person behind the patient. Outside of school and work, you’ll usually find me hiking, playing pickup soccer, running, wakeboarding—anywhere I can feel grounded, refreshed, and close to God. I believe nursing school is better when we support each other, work hard, stay positive, and build a community where everyone feels welcome. As Membership Director, my goal is to help every student feel connected, valued, and excited to be part of the Student Nursing Association.

Here are some pictures of my work and I already have some swag designs in mind for future CON sweatshirts!
Kennedy Sharp
Hi!!! My name is Kennedy and I’m currently a 3rd semester nursing student. I served this past year as the merchandise director for SNA and have had so much fun designing and launching new merch! I have lots of experience designing merchandise, throughout high school and college. I recently got engaged and am getting married this May! When I’m not studying, I love playing pickleball, drawing, reading, and spending time with friends. I would love the opportunity to continue as merchandise director and bring some fun new ideas to SNA this next year! :)
Natalie Lopez
Hola! My name is Natalie and I love the BYU College of Nursing! It has seriously been such a dream to be a part of this program with all the ups and downs it brings. In my limited spare time, I love to read on my kindle, watch a movie with a bowl of popcorn and get soft serve from Macey's. I want to join SNA's publicity team to ensure that all SNA members and all nursing students are aware and notified of the incredible opportunities and events associated with SNA!
Alyssa Smith
Hello! I’m Alyssa and a few things I love to do are adventures with friends, floral design, baking, and game nights! Being a nursing student is an amazing journey and I love that SNA allows us to support each other at a higher level to help us learn and grow from each other. I want to be part of the SNA board to become closer with other nursing students, and to help other students form more connections between cohorts.
Sydney Johnson
Hi! I’m Sydney, a second semester nursing student and I love swing dancing, reading and cooking. I’m also passionate about global health and learning new languages. I want to be involved with the SNA activities because I want to help provide beneficial and meaningful experiences for all the nursing students. I hope to plan activities that will help us grow our skills as nurses and encourage students to discover new interests and passions that will shape their futures and careers.
Jaynee Schulthies
Hey everyone I'm Jaynee and I love photography, nature, travel, and collecting new "grandma hobbies" like crocheting, baking, and reading (with sourdough bread coming soon... after surviving second semester). I believe in balance in nursing school, learning not only the healer's art but also how to care for our own hearts. As SNA Activities Director, I hope to bring students together through fun, edifying, and stress-relieving events, because while nursing isn't easy, it is absolutely worth it and even better when we support each other.
Lu Smith
Hi! I’m Lu, and I’m running for Nursing Service Director.
Serving others has always been important to me. I previously served as the service coordinator in my church ward, and I currently volunteer weekly at Intermountain Hospital. I enjoy finding meaningful service opportunities and helping others get involved in ways that fit their schedules and interests.
As Nursing Service Director, I hope to create consistent, accessible service experiences that bring our cohort together and help us grow as compassionate, community-focused nurses. I look forward to the opportunity to serve alongside you guys, thanks for your consideration!
Jeanette Baird
Hello hello! I am Jeannette and I am from Spokane, Washington. Some fun facts about me are that I have six older brothers, I love playing volleyball and lifting weights, and rainy weather is my favorite weather. I have loved being in the nursing program at BYU so far because it is so fun meeting the other nursing students and having something so special to bond us all. I would love to get more involved in the nursing program to have more opportunities to meet both people in my cohort and in other cohorts as well! I am looking to be involved in the service efforts of SNA because I truly believe that service is the best way to feel God's love for both others and for ourselves as well. I could not be more excited for the opportunity to get more involved in SNA!
Julia Tholen
Hi! My name is Julia, and I am from Kaysville, Utah. I love being outdoors, cooking and baking, using my talents to bless others' lives, and learning how the body works. I am passionate about nursing because it combines science, service, and genuine connection. SNA has been a place where I have felt supported and encouraged as a pre-nursing and nursing student, and I would love the opportunity to give back through serving on the board! As a service director, I hope to help create meaningful opportunities for students to serve others, strengthen our nursing community, and remember why we chose this profession in the first place.
Spencer Brown
Hi! My name is Spencer, I love basketball, jumping out of planes (with a parachute), going on adventures with my wife and really just trying to find the positives in life and the nursing program. I love being able to uplift my fellow nursing students and love how SNA can help make that possible. I’m excited for the opportunity to be involved with SNA and want to be involved more to help current and future students find success in the program. I’m grateful to be surrounded by so many amazing people here at BYU!
Rio Wood
I am pursuing becoming a BLS instructor because I have been part of code blue and understand firsthand how decisive, well-trained action saves lives. Those experiences reinforced the importance of early, high-quality intervention. I am committed to helping others develop the competence and confidence to step forward and perform life-saving skills without hesitation when it matters most.
Evy Burns
Hi! My name is Evy! I love reading, knitting, yapping, and of course: nursing. I cannot wait to join the SNA board to help connect us nursing students. I am passionate about quality communication, and I am excited to help establish clear communication between our chapter of SNA and the State and National Student Nurse Associations.
