The BYTE (Build Your Teaching Experience) Conference is an annual, all-day event consisting of multiple break-out sessions following a keynote speaker. Our goals are to bring K-12 teachers, administrators, and clinicians from across Manitoba together to share inspiring messages and experiences and to participate in hands-on learning around technology education. Participants choose from relevant and diverse topics, tools, and experiences to immediately implement in their practice.

A public education system that values the continuous improvement of creativity, critical thought, effective communication and collaboration in all our stakeholders.
Our Mission
To engage Manitoba teachers in their own learning about how technology can shape personalized learning for their students. We create a motivational teacher-to-teacher learning event in an annual conference day in order to build new capacities with technology for learning.
Our History
Founded in 2004, the BYTE Conference (stands for Build Your Teaching Experience) has grown into Manitoba's largest K-12 Technology for Learning conference. Concentrated in the Westman region, BYTE has been hosted by the communities of Forrest, Minnedosa, Portage la Prairie, Neepawa, Brandon, Virden, and Glenboro.
