AIMS is a pan African institute under Next Einstein Initiative that brings together academically able students from all over Africa, for a greater cause in mathematical sciences. AIMS was founded in 2003, in Cape Town, South Africa. The center was a success, and this led to the establishment of other center in different African countries in the order; Senegal (2011), Ghana (2012), Cameroon (2013), Tanzania (2014), and Rwanda (2016).

AMMI is a novel fully funded one-year intensive graduate program that provides brilliant young Africans with state-of-the-art training in machine learning and its applications.
