Academy

The BYMB Academy is our own programme for new members of the Band.

It comprises of 3 sections:

1. Understanding Music - an introduction to reading music and music theory - using small glockenspiels for practical exercises.

2. Playing an Instrument - starting on cornets / trumpets. clarinets, drums or bell lyres. 

3. Band Drill - marching and display skills

Leading to:

Playing an instrument in the main band.
