Meet the Pastor

Rev. Monica Williams-Woods was born and grew up in St. Louis Missouri. Monica has been in the field of education for over 24 years. The positions held include: teacher, personnel specialist, instructional coordinator, principal and director of Human Resources.

Rev. Monica received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Harris-Stowe State College, a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from The University of Missouri St. Louis, an Associate of Arts Degree in Practical Theology from Metropolitan Christian Bible Institute and a Human Resource Management Certificate from Washington University.

She was the recipient of several educational honors. These honors were: Board of Regents Scholarship, Bertha Black Rhoda Scholarship, Teacher’s Union Local 420 Scholarship, Leslie Scholarship, Harris-Stowe State College Vice President’s List, Alpha Chi (National Honor Society), Kappa Delta Pi (Educational Honor Society), Governor’s Special Student Recognition Award, E. Desmond Lee Scholarship and Magna Cum Laude.

Rev. Monica's commitment to education does not outweigh her passion for maintaining a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and encouraging others to do the same. Rev. Monica was ordained in 2008 at the TYLER Redeeming Christian Spiritualist church; 5159 Delmar, Blvd. St. Louis, Missouri, where the Rev. Harvey J. Alexander is Pastor. There she served as an associate minister.

She believes that Christianity is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today. In the same spirit, she believes a quality Christian experience truly requires individual gifts of the Holy Spirit working together to create and support the ministry of Jesus Christ. In other words, it takes a whole village to help win souls for Christ and that there are opportunities for everyone to share in the joy. Her hope is that everyone can know the awesomeness of GOD and feel HIS love when they worship at By Faith Christian Church.
