In Week 9, we successfully conducted agitator testing using the pyramid structure design. To ensure that the structure could fit into the agitator, we adjusted the dimensions of Levels 1 and 2. The new measurements are 28 cm in length and 22 cm in width.
Pyramid Structure Spillage (ml):
Cycle 1: 148 ml
Cycle 2: 131 ml
Cycle 3: 103 ml
Cycle 4: 149 ml
Cycle 5: 142 ml
Mean= (148+131+103+149+142)/5 = 134.6
This testing helped us evaluate the pyramid structure’s ability to minimize water loss under agitation, providing valuable insights into the stability and practicality of our design.
All three structural designs, vertical, pyramid, and zig-zag, have been successfully tested. Each structure was evaluated for its stability and ability to support an 800 ml water container during agitator testing. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of our design and material choices, marking a significant milestone in our project.
