Our Chosen Charity

The Trussell Trust was founded in 1997, initially to support children who were sleeping in Bulgaria's Central Railway Station. In 2000 Salisbury Foodbank was born after research revealed that people experiencing a sudden crisis often needed extra support for neccessities such as food. Skip forward to 2020 and The Trussell Trust have evolved to support a network of 1200 food banks all over the UK. The Trussell Trust provide emergency food parcels and support to tackle root cause issues relating to poverty. Therefore ensuring that individuals accessing this service are given the tools to be less likely to need to rely on a food bank in the future. We have chosen to raise funds in aid of The Trussell Trust in order to make a positive contribution to ending hunger within the UK.
