Before filming:
Background. Be aware of what your camera will be capturing behind you. Reduce the clutter, creating less opportunity for distraction.
Background noise. Be aware of what noises may come up during recording. Loud noises during your recording, will cause you to have to start over (i.e. silence your phones).
Lighting. Make sure your face is brightly lit. One method of ensuring this is to be facing a window when it’s daytime outside.
Record horizontally (landscape mode), not vertically (portrait mode). We are putting your video in a horizontal frame. When you film horizontally, you will fill the screen.
Stabilization. Have your phone (or whatever recording device you’re using) propped up on a solid object. If you have someone holding the camera, have them rest their arms on something solid. If that is not possible, have them brace their arms against their body.
When filming:
Game Face Buffers. Please allow for a minimum of 15 seconds of recording both before and after you are done talking. During that time, have your game face on (i.e. smile at the camera).
After filming:
File transfer. To keep the highest quality version of your video intact, we would prefer you transfer the video file via cloud service (i.e. Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer)
