Upcoming events:
On June 4, I'll be at Riverfront Books in St. Helens as part of their new "13 Authors by the River" in conjunction with the city's "13 Nights by the River" music festival.
Later that month, I'll be speaking at Courtyard Fountains in Gresham as part of their "Power of the Pen" program.
2026 Events so far:
On April 19th, I sat with five other local authors at our "Columbia County Authors" booth for the St Helens Lions Spring Bazaar.
On March 14, 2026, I joined 16 other local writers for the launch party of the Hidden World Anthology. I had a hand in creating it, and I'm featured in it twice — once with an essay (Mike), and Buxton wrote a humorous short story. Look for the BUY NOW link on Buxton's Book page.
On February 28, 2026, I was at the Friends of the Lebanon Public Library for their third annual Oregon Author Fair. First time I actually got to have a booth all to myself--so much room!
On February 19, 2026, I hosted the Pathways to Publishing authors panel for the Stories by the River Festival. Along with Kathrin Classen and Tamelia Aday, we talked about the many different ways to take words and get them in front of others' eyes: finding an agent (Kathrin), working with a small publisher (Tamelia), and self-publishing (me).
You can read my novel, Keeler Creek Days, at the library! On February 14, 2026, I, along with thirty other local authors, took part in the Columbia County Authors Special Collection Launch Event. The St. Helens Public Library created a special collection of books by authors who live or work in Columbia County, or who belong to the St. Helens Writers Guild or the Scappoose Public Library Writing Group. I'm in there!
2025 events:
I read at the inaugural Scappoose Public Library Authors Festival, the "Words & Wine" event in Portland, and sold books along with other local authors at a Christmas bazaar in St. Helens.
