Heartsaver CPR AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.Â
100% classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience. This course is the most recommended.Â
This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills
What does the course cover?
The course covers all key components of immediate emergency care. You will learn how to:
Perform CPR for adults, children, and infants,
Provide rescue breathing and manage airway emergencies,
Use an AED (automated external defibrillator) confidently and correctly,
Recognize and respond to choking emergencies,
Deliver first aid for bleeding, burns, fractures, allergic reactions, shock, and sudden illness,
Assess an emergency scene and decide when to activate professional medical services.
What should I expect during the First Aid / CPR / AED skills session, and how should I prepare?
During the in-person skills session, students get hands-on practice.
Preparation is simple: wear comfortable clothing, arrive ready to practice on manikins, and be prepared to participate actively. No prior medical experience is required.Â
Why choose to take a CPR class with me?
If English isn't your 1st language i provide translation devices free of charge and am present for you to ask for clarifying questions. Those that speak more than one language have an amazing level of intelligence: Far higher than my 1 language speaking behind.Â
I want you to feel safe asking questions in my classes. No question is a stupid question. EVER. Â
I offer the option of woman only classes for cultural and religious supports.
I do not require you to get down on the floor! So, no worries there. I use tables so that you can stand while showing the skills you have learned during skills practice.
If you have more than 4 people that need training. I can come to you!
