Daily Rhythm
At Busy Bees, our days are guided by a predictable yet flexible rhythm that supports children's developmental needs while allowing space for creativity, imagination, and joy. Rather than following a strict clock, we move through our day in a flow that feels natural and responsive to the group.
This rhythm helps children feel safe, nurtured, and confident as they explore, play, and learn at their own pace.
Our typical daily rhythm includes:

At Busy Bees, we follow The Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based framework that blends play, exploration, and teacher-guided learning. 🚜 Farm to Preschool Experiences
Children participate in real-world activities like planting, tasting fresh foods, and learning where our food comes from — building lifelong habits of health and environmental stewardship.
🎨 Creative Arts, Storytelling & Music
We celebrate self-expression through music, movement, dramatic play, and storytelling. Daily experiences with rhythm, rhyme, and imagination support language and emotional development.
🧺 Life Skills & Practical Learning
From caring for classroom animals to helping prepare snacks, children practice responsibility, empathy, and independence through meaningful contributions.
🧘♀️ Mindful Movement & Yoga
Children are invited to stretch, breathe, and move their bodies with intention. These calming and energizing experiences help build self-regulation, body awareness, and confidence — while promoting a lifelong connection to wellness and inner peace.

Meals & Wellness
At Busy Bees, we believe mealtimes are more than just a chance to refuel — they’re an opportunity for children to connect, build healthy habits, and learn important life skills.
While we are not currently enrolled in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) due to a statewide shortage of available sponsors, we continue to follow best practices for nutrition and wellness in our program.
🧺 Family-Provided Meals
Families are asked to pack a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack each day. A milk or milk alternative is provided by Busy Bees during lunchtime.
To support wellness and meet state requirements:
Lunches must include all food groups daily.
(We are required to supplement missing food groups as needed.)
Please avoid candy and limit sugary treats.
Use ice packs to keep food cold and a thermos for hot foods.
(Reheating takes time and pulls us away from the group mealtime experience.)
🌼 Mealtime Matters
Meals are eaten together to encourage conversation, social development, and a sense of community. Children are encouraged — never forced — to try new foods, listen to their bodies, and develop a positive relationship with food.
