Born in Hadath, Beirut, I am a 59 year old Lebanese woman with a rich tapestry of

life experiences. I hold a diploma in Translation and Executive secretarial studies

which paved the way for an 11 year career spanning Lebanon and Abu Dhabi, where

I lived for about 15 years with my husband Bechara Said after marriage, and where

I embraced the joys of motherhood, raising my three wonderful daughters – Melissa,

Cynthia and Vanessa.

Fifteen years ago, we returned to Lebanon, seeking to reconnect with our roots.

However, the economic and financial crisis of 2021 prompted a new chapter in our

lives. Determined to overcome adversity, my family and I launched a family

business, Olive Leaf, specializing in natural soaps and creams made from premium

extra virgin olive oil. As the driving force behind the venture, I oversee sale,

marketing, purchasing and accounting, ensuring every aspect runs smoothly.

My journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to family and

tradition. Through Olive Leaf, I aim to share our passion for natural, chemical-free

skincare while contributing to our community during challenging times. My story is

one of perseverance, love, and the unwavering belief in the power of family and

Nature.

 I started SAMAR with a deep love for leather craftsmanship and a passion for creating timeless accessories. What began as a simple idea quickly turned into a journey of designing high-quality leather belts that blend elegance with everyday wear.

Each belt is made from genuine leather, ensuring durability and luxury, paired with solid brass buckles for a refined finish. I take pride in sourcing premium materials and focusing on details that make every piece stand out. My designs cater to those who appreciate classic/ vintage style with a modern edge, offering accessories that elevate any outfit effortlessly.

Beyond belts, I continue to explore new ideas in leather craftsmanship, aiming to expand my collection while maintaining the same dedication to quality and artistry. SAMAR is more than just a brand—it’s a reflection of my passion for leather and my commitment to creating accessories that last.

I hold an honors degree in architecture and design from LAU and began my career in Madrid. I founded Jar Thuraya, an SME empowering Lebanese women to produce traditional preserves, earning international recognition. I completed fellowships in Economic Empowerment in Washington DC and Community Solutions in San Francisco, specializing in Data M&E, where I worked with BIPOC and Latinx women entrepreneurs. I work in Design and I lead mentorship and entrepreneurship training initiatives with NGOs targeting youth and women in Lebanon. I am on the council and board of directors of Gini Lebanon and completing my Business Innovation certification with the institution.

My name is Noha Atallah I hold a degree in Law from the Lebanese University, a Proficiency in English Language from Cambridge, a Master in International Business Law from NDU. I worked as an assistant manager at Byblos bank for 10 years. When my father passed away in 2019 I decided to take over the family tradition in making olive oil since my siblings live outside the country and someone had to take care of almost 750 olive trees and my journey began by learning how to take care of the trees and the soil being assisted by an agricultural engineer in doing so.

First we tested the soil for any nutritional deficiency, then the trees and finally abide to a whole different procedure in order to get extra virgin olive oil starting by picking by hand the olives during the harvest and never let anyone hit the trees by any means, transporting the olives directly to the olive press and never put the oil in plastic containers.

Dr Afaf Maacaron is a pharmacist and skincare formulator expert. She applies her knowledge and background expertise to research, develop and compound high performance natural skincare that is guaranteed to make a difference. 

Board certified, world selling author and regular TV guest, Dr Afaf's innovative experience with 

clients of all ages and various beauty issues have made her their preferred customized skincare provider.

Aseel Honein is a Lebanese architect, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s economic empowerment and workplace gender equity. She is the founder of Indigo Kousba, a creative retreat and guesthouse in North Lebanon that fosters eco-tourism and sustainable development. Aseel is also the creator of Architecture in a Box, an award-winning learning and development (L&D) startup that provides educational kits and curricula, making learning hands-on and engaging for children in math, science, language, and culture. 

Founder and owner of Lilshop. I have been an English teacher and IELTS trainer. A certified Cambridge Examiner, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Language with a teaching diploma from the Lebanese University. Commited to self-development and continuous growth has led her to obtain CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and IH CYLT (International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers, moderated by Cambridge University). She expanded her creativity and completed a 70-hour professional scriptwriting course with renowned scriptwriter and actress Mrs. Claudia Marchelian, excelling in the field and opening new opportunities for the future. Lilshop, the venture that made her an entrepreneur, has its own unique story. Painting by numbers and creative outlet—accompanied with 11 challenging years, finally she opened her own shop, inspire, and be inspired. Show people that learning a new skill, relaxing, meditating, and disconnecting from the outside world can be simple.

Dima Mnayer, is an Assistant Professor. She received her Ph.D in 2014 in Food Chemistry from

Avignon University in France. She earned a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in 2004 from the

“Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie” in Food Quality control and Management and her

Diploma in Agricultural Engineering in 2003 from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon. She is a

professional member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers. She spent four-years (2003-2007)

working as a program assistant with Italian NGOs in Rural Development Programs. In 2007, she

moved into the academic sector where she started teaching at several universities. Since 2015,

she served as a reviewer for different scientific journals. She has 11 Scopus peer-reviewed

papers and 2 conference proceedings. She attended many international trainings abroad, in

France, Spain, China and Jordan. According to Scientific Index 2024, Dr. Mnayer ranked one of

top 1000 scientists in Lebanon. She has many certifications of achievements such Lead auditor

training course in food safety, flipped classroom in addition to entrepreneurships training

programs. Along with her teaching career, she is collaborating with Food Industries on

developing novel food, benefiting from grants for supporting her research. Since 2024, She has

her startup business company named Daily Dough specialized in Gluten-Free products

(Breads, wraps)

As I'm a young Lebanese girl who used to love my job in the city, never knew that my true passion would be awaiting in my village. In 2021 and in the midst of the crisis, I moved to my village " Majdalouna " and started a new journey in its beautiful nature. Under the olive tree is where I decided to finally start with the help of my family the unique mixed flavors brand called " Majdamouna " playfully mixing "mouneh" with my village's name.

I do a mixed jam like Kumquats & ginger , lemon & ginger, clementine, Bousfeir, Dates jam, Figs with Walnut Jam , Apricot & Lavender, and for each season there's a new kind of jam. All the fruits, vegetables and the olives are from my garden and organic.

As well as Majdamouna has the Lebanese mouneh like olives & olives oil, honey, zaatar, olives cookies & thym cookies, makdouss, dry mint, tapenade, soap..

Sara is a dedicated mom, with a background of over 20 years of marketing in media and exhibitions fields. She found her passion in cooking and offering people ready-to-eat, yet healthy products, just like the kind of food she offers her family. Being a working mom for a long time herself, she prepares her various range of products with a special thought about working moms who do not have the time to cook, but still want to offer their children healthy food. And that’s how she started her small business in late 2020, and is still going on despite the financial and security challenges in the country, and despite the pandemic which lasted for 2 years.

I am Viviane Bshouty, a passionate entrepreneur, cookie creator, and mother of two. After dedicating 25 years to a successful career at L’Oréal, I made the bold decision to leave the corporate world behind and follow my true passion—baking. With no prior experience in business, I started from scratch, determined to turn my love for cookies and sweets into something real.

Encouraged by the happiness my cookies brought to loved ones, I decided to share them with a wider audience. What started as a homemade tradition gradually turned into a business, allowing me to spread joy through every bite. Today, I take pride in crafting delicious cookies that not only satisfy cravings but also create special moments for others to enjoy.

Entrepreneurship has been a challenging but rewarding journey, teaching me resilience, creativity, and the power of believing in myself. My story is about courage, reinvention, and the pursuit of passion. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to take risks, follow their dreams, and build something they truly love. My name is sylva Beaino, I'm 54 years old; married with 2 girls. 

I'm from Keserwan. I studied child psychology in USEK. I lived for the past 20 years in Qatar for my husband’s work. 

I worked most of my life in the school system.

I am a mother of three children—two adults and one young child—who pours love and dedication into both my family and my small business. I create handmade accessories under the name Azalea, striving to bring beauty and elegance to people of all ages. My business is not just a passion but also a way to support my husband financially. Despite the many challenges I face, I remain determined to grow Azalea and reach as many people as possible, sharing the artistry and uniqueness of my creations with others. 

Giselle kassatly is an experienced fashion designer ,founder and manager of 2 boutiques in Canada 2 boutiques in Lebanon and a boutique in Kuwait .Previous experience in organizing fashion shows, seminars, exhibitions, and consultations. 

Writer of the book first be a woman and a spiritual guide.

She comes from the esteemed Kasatli family, where she had the privilege of working for many years. During this time she gained invaluable experience, honed her skills, and built a strong foundation that later fueled her entrepreneurial journey.

With a diverse background in insurance, handmade accessories, event management, and business ownership, I have built a career driven by creativity and passion. Formerly the owner of L'Univers d'Albert , I created unique events for kids and teens before the business closed due to Lebanon's economic crisis.

I founded ED'Z ROZ , a designer brand offering handcrafted bags, hats, abayas, and accessories that blend elegance with modern craftsmanship. Each piece reflects individuality, style, and premium quality.

Currently, I am the Head of Marketing and Events at City Sightseeing Lebanon , managing the double-deck open-top buses, overseeing special events, corporate events, and advertisements on the buses, creating memorable experiences for tourists and locals.

Additionally, I organize private events under RR Events , bringing personalized visions to life.

Carole Hobeika holds a Master of Science in Management Organization from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC) and brings over 30 years of executive experience in global and international companies. She has a strong background in business development, with a focus on project management, strategic planning, capacity building, women and youth empowerment, education, and management consultancy.

As the Founder and President of VVIP Women in Power, Carole champions women’s advancement through the Keep Developing Learning Program and has established a thriving network for businesswomen.

Since 2016, she has also served as CEO of Bilma.K Services, leading a learning center dedicated to fostering students' academic success and personal growth.

My name is Krystel El Ahmar Zouein. I'm 35 years old, married and a mother of a 6 year old girl.

During corona, i finally decided to turn my passion into small business.

With a simple idea, some tools and a lot of passion and love, I make it happen!!

Kawsar Chaya is a passionate advocate for holistic healing, wellness, and spiritual balance. As the founder of Balasm Spirit Healing Center, she specializes in energy healing, natural therapies, and wellness coaching. Through her work, she combines ancient wisdom with modern techniques to help individuals restore harmony in mind, body, and soul.

She is also an engaged writer and speaker, sharing insights on health, environmental consciousness, and social change. Kawsar believes in the power of community and education to inspire a healthier, more balanced world

Evant (Enlightened VANTures) is an initiative founded by two sisters, Jessica (a psychologist and biologist) and Jennifer (a social worker and psychologist), who are passionate about merging mental health awareness with creative experiences. Our mission is to transform events in Lebanon by fostering meaningful conversations and promoting emotional well-being. At the heart of our initiative is a vintage VW van, which serves as both a mobile photo booth and an interactive platform. Through engaging activities, psychoeducational games, and awareness campaigns, we highlight the importance of play, non-violent parenting, and peacebuilding. By blending entertainment with impactful messages, we create events that inspire connection, awareness, and emotional support.

Rima Berkachy is a social, tourism, and political activist. She holds an official Lebanese certificate and a university degree in entrepreneurship from the Lebanese American University. She is a passionate trainer in food preservation, food production, and food safety, with over 25 years of experience in this field. Berkachyi has earned numerous certificates from various Lebanese ministries and recognition from Lebanese and international associations and organizations in appreciation of her outstanding efforts and contributions in this field. She has become the Ambassador of Lebanese Preservation to the Arab countries.

Al-Burqashi joined the Dier El-Ahmar Women’s Association, where she practiced her training skills and experience in Lebanese food preservation. She founded her own food production workshop, "Les Provisions de Rima," where she offers traditional Lebanese meals as well as a wide variety of preserved food items and local food products for all occasions.

Her love for her hometown and country motivated her to actively promote tourism in Dier El-Ahmar, and she chose to be a tour guide. Furthermore, Berkachy took the initiative to open the first guesthouse in the region under her management, offering delicious traditional Lebanese meals and providing her guests with a unique experience that blends authenticity, hospitality, and a passion for cooking. She is currently the president of the Bekaa Women’s Renaissance Association.

During the recent war in 2024, she was actively involved in coordinating with organizations supporting displaced people in three shelter centers in the Dier El-Ahmar area, where residents hosted participants in their homes in cooperation with the Emergency Committee of the Union of Municipalities in the Dier El-Ahmar region.

My name is Ghada Aladdin. I hold a Master’s degree in Business Management from the American University of Culture & Education and a Teaching Diploma in Economics from Modern University for Business & Science. I am also the Co-owner of Areef Arz AlShouf, where I play a key role in driving the company’s growth and success. Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud mother of two, Karim and Reina. I strive to balance my career with my family, and I am passionate about both my work and my role as a mother.

I am Fadia Sassine, a linguist, sworn translator, and dedicated educator from Lebanon, with a passion for communication, Arts, human sciences, and intercultural exchange. 

A mother of two daughters, I am deeply committed to nurturing both my family and my professional life, and my experiences as a parent have shaped my perspective on education and human connection.

I hold a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and a Bachelor’s in Applied Foreign Languages from the Lebanese University. 

My teaching journey began at 18 and has been focused on using languages as a tool to bridge cultures. I have taught foreign languages at the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, and I’m particularly proud of my work, teaching Arabic (my mother tongue) to non-native speakers. 

I also collaborate with various corporates for translation and localization projects and have worked with the United Nations on sustainable development initiatives in Lebanon. 

Driven by a love for writing, I published an extracurricular booklet designed to help students improve their linguistic skills. The booklet combines an inspiring short story with practical assignments, promoting both learning and creativity.

As a cosmopolitan, I have traveled across continents with a deep passion for learning about new cultures and contributing to cultural exchanges. My travels have enriched my understanding of diverse perspectives, further fueling my commitment to fostering global understanding.

Alongside my academic work, I actively volunteer with several social and humanitarian organizations, as I’ve always been passionate about making a positive difference in the world. 

In addition to my technical expertise, I emphasize the importance of soft skills. Every profession, I believe, requires a blend of talents, and I constantly invest in my personal development by attending relevant trainings to stay ahead in my field. My integrity, dedication, and strong communication skills have been integral to my growth, especially in team-based.

Samar Itani, artist and educator with 30+ years in handicrafts, is VP of the Syndicate of Craftsmen in Lebanon. She showcases Lebanese heritage globally through art, design, and innovation.
