Getting to the AUT City Campus
There are many ways to get to the AUT City Campus. The City Campus is just a short walk from Britomart and the Downtown Ferry Terminal, and easy to reach on bus, train or ferry or the campus shuttle buses at AUT.
Take the bus to the AUT City Campus
- All major bus services have stops near the City Campus
- Northern Busway passengers - park your car for free at Albany or Constellation stations and then catch the bus (park and ride).
- Drop off and pick up zones at all Northern Busway stations
Shuttle buses
- Runs between the City, North and South Campus (except weekends and public holidays).
- Stops outside WH building on Mayoral Drive
- The driver will clip your ticket - no cash accepted

Take the train to the AUT City Campus
- A cheap, fast and easy way to get to the city from West, South and East Auckland
- Trains arrive and depart from Britomart – 15 minutes’ walk to the City Campus
- You can also park your car for free at a train station and catch the train (park and ride)
Driving to and parking at the AUT City Campus
Because of the high demand for parking in the central city, AUT can’t provide on-site parking for city-based students during the day. It’s a good idea to consider other transport options, like public transport or carpooling.
