As a final-year student at the University of Johannesburg, I Busang Moleko, have had the privilege of volunteering in the Community Engagement at the Doornfontein campus. This portfolio of evidence showcases my experiences, achievements, and reflections during my time in this role, with a specific focus on the Content Development category. As a driven and dedicated final-year student at the University of Johannesburg, I am ready to bring my skills and passion to the professional world. With a strong academic background in Public Relations and Communication Management, I have developed a solid foundation in strategic communication, media relations, and campaign development. My academic journey has given me the skills and knowledge I need to succeed, and I am excited to apply them in a real-world setting. With a keen interest in community engagement and content development, I have ant opportunity to apply my knowledge in practical ways. Through my volunteer work in the Community Engagement portfolio at the Doornfontein campus, I have gained valuable experience in developing content for diverse audiences and building strong relationships with stakeholders . I am excited to use my skills, experience, and passion to make a meaningful contribution to organizations. I am a team player, a creative problem solver, and a lifelong learner, always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
As a Community Engagement Intern at the University of Johannesburg, my primary role involved supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach initiatives and events. Key responsibilities included researching and developing content for social media platforms, crafting media releases and promotional materials, assisting in event coordination and logistics, and engaging with community stakeholders and partners. Additionally, I contributed to the development of strategic communication plans, monitored and analyzed social media metrics, and provided administrative support to the Community Engagement team. Through this internship, I gained hands-on experience in community engagement, media relations, and event management, while applying theoretical knowledge in a practical setting to enhance my skills and expertise.
I am honored to have received the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Volunteer Community Engagement Certificate in recognition of my dedication and contributions to community service during my internship at the Community Engagement department. This certificate symbolizes my commitment to social responsibility and community development, showcasing my active role in promoting social change and enhancing the lives of others. Through my internship, I gained invaluable experience in community outreach, project management, and stakeholder engagement, solidifying my passion for community engagement and social impact.
