Privacy Policy — Email Unsubscribe Highlighter

This Chrome extension runs entirely inside your browser. It does not have a backend server, an analytics endpoint, or any third-party SDK.
What the extension does with your data
Reads the contents of email pages on Gmail and Outlook on the web (Outlook.com / Outlook for Office 365) only. This is required to find the unsubscribe link inside an email body and to identify the sender's address when you press "Unsub + delete all from sender".
Does not transmit, upload, copy, sell, or share any of that data with anyone, including the developer. All processing happens locally in your browser, in the extension's content script.
Does not collect analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage data.
Does not set tracking cookies or call any third-party server.
Permissions used and why
Host access for mail.google.com, outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com — needed to inject the unsubscribe-highlighting code into those pages.
activeTab — lets the extension act on the tab you currently have open (e.g. the bulk-delete action in Gmail).
storage — reserved for future user preferences; not currently used to persist any data.
Sensitive content
When you press Unsubscribe, the extension opens a new tab to whatever URL the sender placed in their unsubscribe link. Once that page loads, the extension has no further involvement; whatever happens there is governed by that sender's own website and privacy policy.
When you press "Unsub + delete all from sender", the extension uses Gmail's own UI (the search box, the select-all checkbox, the Delete button) to move messages to Trash. No data leaves your browser.
Highlights hidden unsubscribe links in Gmail and Outlook on the web, and provides a one-click action to unsubscribe and delete past emails from the same sender.
Required so the "Unsub + delete all from sender" action can drive the Gmail tab the user is currently viewing — navigating to a from:sender search, ticking the master select-all checkbox, and clicking Delete inside that tab.
Reserved for storing user preferences (e.g. toggling features on or off) in future versions. No data is currently persisted.
The extension's single purpose is to identify and surface unsubscribe links inside email bodies on these four email providers. Reading the page content of those specific origins is the only way to find the unsubscribe link rendered in the email and to identify the sender's address for the bulk-delete action.

The extension does not load or execute any code from a remote source. All JavaScript ships in the package.
