George Harris son of Burr Calvert Alias Harrison died in Edgefield County, South Carolina in August 1819 without a will. He was married to Martha Unknown. His estate was administered by John and Joshua Harris, probably two of his sons. Some of the purchasers of the estate were: Craven Harris, Micajah Harris, Thomas Harris, William Harris, George Harris Jr., John Smith (for Jane Harris), and William Fisher for (Elizabeth Harris). A descendant of this George Harris Sr. has had his YDNA tested and appears in Group 5 on the Harris YDNA Family Tree page.
Another George Harris died in 1829 in Abbeville, SC without a will. His administrator was Michael Peaster who was married to Sintha (Cynthia Harris Peaster) the daughter of Micajah and Sarah Sheppard Harris. Cynthia would have been this George's 1st cousin.
Note: In the document below you can see the name of the Thomas Harris as a distributee from the Estate record of George Harris that was dated September 1831. This proves that this Thomas was alive in 1831 and is not the same man as the Thomas Harris who died in Abbeville District, SC in 1826. This provides proof that the person who has named Burr Calvert Harris as the father of the Thomas Harris who died in 1826 and whose YDNA was placed in Group 3, Test Kit 9703 has an error in his genealogical tree.
