Spring and Summer Outings

In the spring and summer, outings are arranged locally.  If people cannot drive then lifts are offered by those who can. 

The following trips have been confirmed for 2026:

Wednesday 01 July  1.30pm  Guided walk round Cambridge Botanic Gardens  More information from Isobelle Hasleham

Wednesday 05 August  2pm  A guided walk round Fordham.  More information from Susan Bluck.

Those  for 2025 were:

• A tour  of Soham on June 18th.

• A visit to the Ely archives on July 9th.

 In 2023 the following places were visited:

• A guided walk of Littleport.

• Fordham Abbey to see the Dogima (Japanese) Garden (see image).

• The Whipple Museum in Cambridge.

In   2024 the outings were as follows:

• June visit to Bottisham Airfield Museum

• July visit to Peterborough with a guided visit to the cathedral.  This followed on nicely from our May talk about the cathedral.

• August evening walking tour of Bury St Edmunds.
